I am starting my 17th year as a teacher for Newton Elementary. I taught fifth grade for five years and have taught third grade ever since.
I grew up on a farm in the Miami East School District. I attended The University of Rio Grande and earned my teaching degree. I also attended the University of Dayton earning my master's degree in Teacher Leadership and a principal's licensure from the University of Dayton.
I live in the Newton School District . I have two children. Kacie is a seventh grader this year and Colin is in third grade. We enjoyed camping at the Miami County Fair where both kids showed pigs.
