Spirit of Giving 2022

The Newton Student Council along with the Committee of the Village Churches invites you to participate in this year’s Spirit of Giving taking place December 5 through December 16.  The Student Council will be collecting nonperishable items from the list below to help stock the pantry for the following year.  Food can be brought to your child’s classroom.
Monetary donations will be accepted as well.  We did this last year and the church loved this because they could buy the necessary items to stock the pantry.  They also use this money to buy meat, fresh vegetables and dairy items.  Each classroom will have a bucket to collect monetary donations.  Checks can be made Newton Food Pantry.  If you have any questions, please contact Jane Jess at 676-2002 or email me at [email protected]
List of items to donate:
Canned Meats:  Beef, Pork, Chicken, Canned Tuna (in water)
Other Canned Items:  Chicken & Dumplings, Beef Stew, Spaghetti Sauce (cans or jars), Ravioli, Sloppy Joes, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit
Boxes:  Cereal, Mac & Cheese, Hamburger Helper, Beef & Chicken Broth

Safe Continuation of In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Service Plan

The recently passed American Rescue Plan (ARP) provides substantial federal resources to support states and local school districts. As a result, local school districts are required to develop a plan that details the safe return to in-person instruction and ensures the continuity of services. This plan is accessible to our stakeholders, and will be monitored and revised as necessary based on ongoing review through September 30, 2023.
