A Short Bio...
I have lived in the Miami County area for most of my life. My childhood years through 6th grade were spent in the Miami East school system but in the summer of 1977, my family moved to Gillette, Wyoming. I lived and went to school there until returning back to Ohio in the summer of 1988. I was hired at Newton in August of 1988 and have been a teacher here ever since.

I have a wife, Amy, and two wonderful children. Mariah is a 2010 graduate of Newton and is now in charge of her own classroom, teaching 4th grade at Graham Local Schools. Aubrey is a 2014 graduate and has a degree in Music Education from Morehead State University, graduating in December 2018.

In addition to teaching, I also am the advisor for the Newton Leo Club here at school. The Leo Club is a youth service club sponsored by the Troy Lions Club and does many wonderful things for the community. I am very proud of their accomplishments and would encourage any interested students to come to one of our meetings or to contact me for more information.

I can be reached by phone at 676-2002 Ext 1303 or by email at scott_davis@newton.k12.oh.us.
