A Message From The Superintendent:

 March 1, 2019
Dear Newton Community,

Friday marks the first day of March.  As we approach March and make our way through the month, our thoughts usually start transitioning from winter to spring.  The thought of spring is comforting given the kind of winter we have had.  It's also marks a time when we can renew our energy for things to come.
It is amazing how fast this school year has gone!  They almost always do.  I am quite certain that the last three months will be much the same.  The 2018-2019 school year has gone very well.  The Class of 2019 is to be commended for providing exellent leadership for our entire school this year.  I have often said that in a school our size that the senior class sets the tone for academic performance and personal conduct.  This year's seniors have been exceptional leaders!
Another thing that happens about this time of year is that seniors begin to think about graduation day.  They begin to feel the emotions they will have as they part with their classmates, and they're left with so many memories.  It is also a time that is bittersweet for the staff.  It's a little sad that we will begin to say goodbye to the kids that have been a part of our lives for the last 13 years.  However, it's also exciting to send these same kids out our doors and into the next chapter of their lives!
The Spring of 2019 will be a little more exciting than ever!  The Newton Board of Education recently voted to hire Level MB Construction as the design/build firm for our construction project that will break ground in late May or June.  This new building will be an athletic/community center.  We thank the Board of Education for their support in providing our students and staff with the finest facilities that any district could hope for.  They have provided our facilities in a thoughtful and fiscally sound manner.  We would also like to thank the community for their continued support and making education a priority for their children and grandchildren.   THANK YOU!

Only at Newton!
