Spring Band Events

I hope this spring is treating you well as we begin the final weeks of the 2016-17 school year! I wanted to provide everyone with a list of upcoming performances and events related to and within the Newton Music Department. We have had a wildly successful year and it's crazy to think the end is near. Hopefully you can stop by and witness the tremendous music making happening at Newton!

Saturday, April 22 7pm-11:30pm

Jackson Riffle will be performing on Marimba at the Dayton Metropolitan Library's fundraising event, "The Main Event." All proceeds benefit the Dayton Metro Library Foundation

Sinclair Community Concert Band, Wind Symphony, and Youth Wind Ensemble Concert

with Guest Composer, John Mackey

Saturday, April 29 (Time TBD)

  • The high school concert band and men's chorus will be performing at State Contest.
  • This event is held at Gahanna Lincoln High School just east of Columbus.
  • Tuesday, May 9 7:00pm
  • The annual Spring Concert in the Elementary Gym. 4 bands, 2 choirs, a ton of awesome music. The kids would love to see you all there!
  • This concert will be approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes in length.
  • Saturday, May 13 (morning)>/strong>
  • The Junior High Band and Choir will be performing at Large Group Contest at Troy High School.
  • Times TBD.
  • Following the performances we will be going to Kings Island for the day!
