Join us as we gear up for the Book Fair “All For Books” coin challenge!  More books equal more reading minutes!  Monday, Oct. 22nd is Powerful Pennies so make sure you bring your pennies.  Every cent raised will help us buy books for our classroom libraries and for every dollar we raise, Scholastic donates a book to a literacy charity to help kids and families in need!

 

Art Club will meet during lunch today to work on book fair decorations.

Anyone interested in bowling this year, there will be an informational parent meeting at 5:30 on Thursday Oct 25 at Miami Lanes in Milton. Please plan to attend this meeting with your parents.  

 

Attention 5th through 12th grade students: Science Day forms and fees are due today. It's not too late to sign up for the district science day, even if you could not attend the informational meeting. See Mr. Schindler or Miss Short for more information, for the required forms, or to turn in your paperwork and money.


Don't forget your friend for sweetest day.  Buy a sweet treat during lunch to be delivered today 8th period.

Today is the last day for ordering t-shirts and hoodies.  See the display by the cafeteria to get an order blank.  Turn in your order to Mrs. Anthony.

 

Attention Seniors:  Jostens will be here Wednesday, October 24th before school in the cafeteria to takes orders for graduation supplies.  Bring a $75.00 down payment or pay in full.  There is still time to order class rings, extra packets are available in the office.

 

Attention Freshmen:  A Jostens representative will be here Wednesday, October 24th before school in the cafeteria to take orders for class rings.  Get your free hoodie, companion ring and $20.00 off with your order and $75.00 down payment.  Extra packets are available in the office.

 

Attention junior high and high school students:  Newton Drama Club is already gearing up for the spring play.  We are looking for dancers, choreographers, make-up artists, set and prop designers, as well as actors and singers.  Join us on Remind to stay in the loop for upcoming dates, announcements, meetings and auditions.  See sign posted outside Ms. Short’s room for sign up information.

 

There will be a short girls’ basketball meeting at 11:45 in the board room on Wednesday, Oct. 24th.

 

Open gym it today.  Reminder to girls playing basketball: register online for girls’ basketball and you must have a physical to begin practice.  Practice starts on October 26th.

 

The Fall Awards Program will be held on Monday, October 29th at 6:30pm in the JH gym. 

 

The 2017-2018 high school yearbooks are ready for pick up in Mrs. Anthony's room. If you ordered a yearbook in the spring please stop by before or after school to pick up your book. If you did not preorder a book they are available to purchase for $40.00.
